The Great North Swim

The Great North Swim is a one mile open water swim taking place in Lake Windermere with up to 6000 swimmers taking part.

The swim will be the culmination of the new Great Swim series and will attract some of the best swimmers in the world to Lake Windermere to battle for the title. Thousands of club and fun swimmers will cover the same course as the elite swimmers across the weekend as they try to achieve personal best times, beat training companions across the finish line or raise as much money as possible for a whole host of charities.
